Ibrahim’s steakhouse, Birmingham Steak, Steak and more Steak!

I took a stroll down Ladypool road on the hunt to find a new place to eat and Ibrahim’s steakhouse caught my eye. It looked nice from the outside and was packed; but what really caught my eye was the size of the steak the lady (sat near the window) was eating, it was huge – I knew there and then that I had to try this place.

What’s it like inside?
Nicely decorated with a modern feel, they have lots of seating upstairs and downstairs with some fairly sizeable booth areas. It’s definitely a great place to go with family and friends.

Service and food ordering
As the name suggests it is a meat place; they sell lots of different types of steak, beef, chicken, veal they event had Ostrich! I was intrigued by the Ostrich so enquired, the waiter was very honest, he said it tasted like chicken and beef and is a bit tough, strange combination so I decided to give it a miss.

The menu allows you to customize your food, here’s a quick overview of the options:

  • How you would like your meat cooked? My other half chose medium to well done as he’s not keen on the pink bits and it was cooked nicely.
  • Level of spice, a bit like Nando’s, mild, medium, hot, extra hot.
  • Accompanying sauce, e.g. peppercorn, gravy, chili etc.

They also have burgers, curries, peri chicken, seafood and salads on the menu, so there is something for everyone.

The service was good, the waiter explained everything on the menu and was prompt in taking the order and bringing over the food.

Here are a few pictures of what we ordered.

The verdict
Overall I had a really positive dining experience, the food was really nice, the portions sizes were just right and the service was good.

If you are in the Birmingham area check it out, make sure you book a table as it does get very busy.
